Before you can apply for a UK Student Visa, you need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a UKVI-licensed university. Gangal Recruitment will handle your application and ensure you receive your CAS quickly once you have an offer.
You must show that you can cover your tuition fees plus living costs. For 2026, the UK government requires:
English proficiency required. IELTS 6.0 required. Limited IELTS centres in Mogadishu. Many Somali students take IELTS in Nairobi or elsewhere.
Somalia is a visa national. UK Student Visa requires CAS, IELTS, financial proof. Processing: 6–10 weeks. Extra documentation may be required.
You will need to: create a UKVCAS account, complete the online form, pay the visa fee (£558 as of April 2026), and pay the NHS Health Surcharge (£776/year for students).
You will attend a VFS Global or UKVCAS centre to provide your fingerprints and photo. After this, your application is sent to UK Visas and Immigration for processing — typically 3–8 weeks.
