DemolitionSoft strip & strip-out
Stripping interiors back to the shell, ready for refurbishment or demolition.
We remove fixtures, fittings, ceilings, partitions and finishes to take a building back to its structure.
A proper soft strip separates materials as they come out, so more gets recycled and less goes to landfill.

Questions people ask
Do I need permission to demolish a building?
Often not a full planning application, but in most cases the council must be told at least six weeks before (section 80 of the Building Act 1984), and many demolitions need the council's prior-approval check first. Listed buildings and larger buildings in conservation areas need consent. Our free planning checker gives a first answer.
What about asbestos?
Before demolition, a refurbishment and demolition asbestos survey is required by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. Most asbestos found must be removed by an HSE-licensed contractor before demolition goes ahead.
What happens to the waste?
Materials are separated so more can be recycled, and every load is taken by a registered waste carrier with waste transfer notes you can keep.
Who disconnects the gas, electricity and water?
The utility providers do — we arrange the disconnections before any demolition starts.
Can you demolish just part of a building?
Yes. Partial demolition is done to a structural engineer's sequence, with temporary support where needed, so the rest of the building stays safe.
